Test Your Storybook Verbs


In each case, choose the most appropriate of the three alternatives:

1)    Jimmy lost his footing on the branch and chortled / plunged / squeezed into the grass below.
2)    Jimmy’s tail splashed / trudged / leapt into the cold water.
3)    Jimmy was so cold that his teeth were chattering / spluttering / gurgling.
